QUALIFICATION DESCRIPTION
This qualification reflects the role of volunteer workers and includes foundation skills required to enable them to effectively undertake volunteer work.
This qualification may be used as a pathway for workforce entry. Organisations may require volunteers to undergo relevant background checks. To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 20 hours of volunteer work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.
Course InformationTrainer and It support is available throughout your period of enrolment
Prior to enrolment, all applicants will be required to complete an LLN skills check in reading, writing, and numeracy to assist with determining eligibility and to identify learning support needs
Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfers will be offered to all students, as part of the Pre-Training Review Process
Work placement: 20 hours of work placement is required for this qualification
Please be aware work placement providers may require for example, a current Police Check, Working with Children Check (any costs associated with these documents are at the student’s expense.)
Students of all abilities are encouraged to apply at any time of the year
Enrolment period is 12 months (re-enrolment fees apply)
